Experience
Experience
During my time at Northeastern I have worked at four companies. I have gained a variety of skills from all of them, both computer based and hands on. This is a brief overview of each, with links to more in depth descriptions.
Sage Product Development (2018)
Sage PD is a product development service company for medical devices located in Foxborough MA. http://www.sagepd.com/
I spent a few months working at sage during my last co-op time allotment in the spring of 2018. I supported the work of several teams, each developing on a different medical device. My time was divided up based on necessary deliverables as decided weekly. General responsibilities included Solidworks design for 3D printing and assemblies, vendor research and contact, client meetings, and device assembly.
Pentax Medical (2018)
Pentax Medical is a medical device company that both designs and manufactures devices, mainly focused around endoscopes. https://www.pentaxmedical.com/pentax/
I spent the first few months of 2018 working at the Pentax Medical office in Cambridge MA. This branch of Pentax focused on advanced design development, and so my work revolved solely on innovative design. I worked on a team with three engineers designing a device to satisfy a specific need articulated by surgeons. Responsibilities revolved around designing, ordering or machining, assembling, and testing potential parts and subsystems.
Motosim E.U. Co-op (2017)
MOTOSIM E.U. is a startup company designing racing simulation rigs.
My second co-op was at MOTOSIM E.U. in Vienna Austria. I worked closely with three others in this startup. While overall the work was as a team, the majority of my time was spent working independently on specific, self driven tasks. My responsibilities included using Solidworks, understanding and modifying systems, and using basic machine shop tools such as mills, lathes, and saws.
Davol Inc. R&D Co-op Sythetics Franchise (2016)
Davol Inc. is a medical R&D company located in Warwick RI. https://www.crbard.com/davol/
My first co-op, and real professional work experience was at Davol Inc. in Warwick Rhode Island. I worked on a team of about 15 individuals that was focused on this one product during its design and feasibility testing stages. At this position my responsibilities included data logging, material testing, test method development, and data analysis.
